CONDOR

In Saronida bay is a wreck of a WWII airplane which was used as a passenger and a reconnaissance or bomber. This aircraft is believed to have left Elefsina airport on the 5th of September in 1941 and crashed in Saronida bay with the loss of all crew. In total six people perished.

The once proud aircraft is found in fragments with some larger pieces which are scattered over a large area on the seabed at a depth of 50 meters. An area of over one hundred square meters meters includes most of the fragments of the aircraft although the engines are missing. Today what is left of the main fuselage, which is not much, can be found in very small pieces scattered througout the site.

The visibility at this dive spot is usually excellent, offering divers a great opportunirty to fully explore and appreciate the wreck.
