Polydroso Cave

The spring is located in the village of Polydrosos on the foot of mount Parnasos in Greece. An excellent dive for the cave diving enthusiast although particular care should be taken in certain parts. Both the entrance (height 70cm) and the mid-part (height 90 cm) of the cave have very narrow passages. Visibility going is great, but not so on the way back to exit due to percolation causing extremely low visibility in certain parts. The maximum depth of the cave reaches 37 meters.

From 2017 until the summer of 2018 we dived 4 times at this cave. On the 11th of November 2017 we joined the Grafas Diving team who captured some amazing footage. Another dive with his team took place on the 10th of December and a further one in January of 2018.  In June of 2018 Erikos and Stelios made another visit to the cave for the purpose of photographing it and enjoy cave diving. Οn the 15th of October 2018 we attempted to dive the cave again, however conditions at the site (strong flow of water from the spring) after heavy rainfalls did not permit entry through the narrow entrance.

Our last visit to the spring was on the 29th of May 2020. Due to recent heavy rainfall, resulting in the increase of the flow of water, entry to the spring was a challenge. Nevertheless this flow made our exit on the way back much easier.
